Alfred Adams appreciated the need for a sound, comfortable saddle which facilitated a deep seat without a restricted ‘locked seat’. Following a meeting with the then director of The Spanish Riding School and Col. Alois Podhajsky they designed and built a saddle to which Col. Podhajsky would put his name. The resulting saddle has been used at The Spanish Riding School for training both rider and horse and working saddles have been used in the school for well over 20 years becoming the saddle with a proven history.
